15. Jenniffer González PART 3 — TIMELINE 2017-2020

Jenniffer González PART 3 — A TIMELINE 2017-2020
HIGHLIGHTS:
CLOSE TIES PRO-US-ISRAEL ZIONISM TO SOUTH FLORIDA ANTI-CASTRO AND ANTI-CHAVISMO EXTREMISTS

• This 2017-2020 timeline corresponds to Jenniffer González’s first term as Puerto Rico Non-voting Congressional Member (“Resident Commissioner'‘).

• Jenniffer González travels to Israel in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
On December 6, 2017 Trump recognized Jerusalem as capital of Israel thereby moving the US embassy to Jerusalem (Al-Quds) from Tel Aviv (Yafa).
During the 2018 trip, Jenniffer González is introduced to Netanyahu by Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, who receives a prize from Netanyahu.
During the 2019 summer protests in Puerto Rico that lead to her running mate Ricardo Rosselló’s resignation, Jenniffer González is in Israel celebrating “Israel Independence Day” where she also attends the IDC Herzliya Conference.

• Jenniffer González travels to Colombia with USAID during the 2019 Donald Trump administration’s coup attempt in which Juan Guaidó proclaims himself president of Venezuela. Guaidó signs off Venezuela’s gold held in Bank of England and CITGO assets in the US.

• Jenniffer González sells out 100% of Puerto Rico as FEDERAL OPPORTUNITY ZONES — Under her watch as Resident Commissioner, 3 months after Hurricane María, in December 2017, 95-98% of Puerto Rico was designated an opportunity zone under the US federal tax code (IRS). This has not received as much attention as Acts 20/22.

Jenniffer González is ideologically-aligned with Florida hardline anti-Castro Cuban exile Republican politicians such as Marco Rubio, María Elvira Salazar, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, US militarism and the police state, and US-Israel Zionism.
She also has photo ops with the extremely shady Act 22 settler Brock Pierce, a Hollywood child-actor turned Bitcoin promoter, and a Christian Zionist. Brock Pierce also has met with Benjamin Netanyahu and Pierce allegedly is friends with his son Yair Netanyahu. Her friend María Elvira Salazar, has sided with ZEDE (“Zona de empleo y desarrollo económico”) Próspera in their International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) lawsuit against the State of Honduras’ repeal of these unpopular neoliberal charter city projects. María Elvira Salazar sits on the Monroe Doctrinist Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere.

2017

Many of the events listed are not necessarily directly linked to Jenniffer González, but they are essential Puerto Rico context. Remember, her closest political allies insisted there must be a US-led Fiscal Control Board as a pre-condition to access to bankruptcy.

During Trump’s 4 hour visit to Puerto Rico, he visits a Calvary Chapel American evangelical church in a strip mall in Guaynabo, a suburban town in metro San Juan area, where many of the Puerto Rico moneyed class live in gated communities, where the hurricane damage was minimal, compared to the devastation in other areas of the archipelago. The infamous Donald Trump throwing paper towels occurs here. The site was allegedly selected by the Secret Service. Jenniffer González is present at this event. Calvary Chapel is “an international association of charismatic evangelical churches, with origins in Pentecostalism” and a proponent of Christian Zionism and prosperity gospel.

By Jose Maldonado
(Jenniffer González’s wasteful spending after Hurricane María criticized)

“Likewise, Jenniffer González traveled to the state of Israel from August 6, 2017 to August 14, 2017.
This trip was paid for by the American Israel Education Foundation (AIEF), where the commissioner spent $7,000 on 'Business Class' transportation, with $1,351 on meals and $1,613 more on other expenses.
“At that time, Jenniffer stayed at the five-star King David Hotel in Jerusalem at a cost of $321 per night and at the Scots Hotel, also a five-star hotel in Tiberia at a cost of $270 per night. “Jenniffer González traveled to Puerto Rico from March 1, 2018 to March 6, 2018. The trip was paid for by the Republican Main Street Partnership (RMSP), where she spent $567 on transportation, $567 on accommodation, and $163 on food,” Matos explained. .
Meanwhile, Calderón noted that “the commissioner also stayed at the Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino in Condado, one of the few hotels open after the effects of Hurricane María, where the room was $189 a night. Even though she resides in Puerto Rico, she preferred the luxury of a hotel to meet with members of the PNP and her Republican Party.”

U.S. judge denies request for outsider to oversee Puerto Rico's PREPA
By Daniel Bases
“NEW YORK (Reuters) - A U.S. federal judge on Monday rejected a request to install a former military officer to oversee Puerto Rico's beleaguered electric utility, PREPA, a victory for Governor Ricardo Rossello, whose government opposed the appointment.

U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain, ruling from the bench in New York, denied a motion filed Oct. 26 by the federally appointed Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico, according to a court official. The board wanted to install retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Noel Zamot as PREPA's chief transformation officer.

Zamot's name was put forward as an emergency manager after PREPA was criticized for signing a $300 million, no-bid contract with tiny Whitefish Energy Holdings to lead power restoration efforts. The deal sparked an uproar over its provisions and the Montana company's lack of experience with projects that big.”

Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA)
Public Law 115-97
115th Congress
Signed by Donald Trump
(Includes 95-98% designation of Puerto Rico as “Opportunity Zone”)

FEDERAL OPPORTUNITY ZONES:
Under her watch as Resident Commissioner, 3 months after Hurricane María, in December 2017, 95-98% of Puerto Rico was designated an opportunity zone under the US federal tax code (IRS). This has not received as much attention as Acts 20/22.

She is directly responsible, or at least claims as her her biggest achievements, the designation of federal “Opportunity Zones” IRS tax incentives, who are intended to benefit the investor class. The effect of these is harder to measure than Acts 20/22 but they are significant because 95-98% is designated OZ, and any investor can take advantage of these incentives, they do not need to be residents of Puerto Rico. Most of the reporting has focused on Acts 20/22 because the decrees the Puerto Rico government gives to “investors” are public information.

She proposed further amendments to designate 100% of Puerto Rico as an OZ in 2021 and 2023 but these did not pass in Congress.

H.R.1740 - To designate all of Puerto Rico as an opportunity zone.

Glossy feature on Puerto Rico crypto colonizer and former Hollywood child actor, chaos agent Brock Pierce. “Coincidentally” Nellie Bowles is a Silicon Valley tech writer and California oligarch “descendant of Henry Miller, who was dubbed the "Cattle King of California" and was at one point one of the largest landowners in the United States, and a descendant of Thomas Crowley, who founded the transportation and logistics company Crowley Maritime.”
Crowley Maritime is one of the major beneficiaries of the Jones Act of 1920, a federal protectionist shipping law disproportionally affects Puerto Rico’s cost of living. Insular and non-contiguous US territories essentially subsidize the costs of this law.
Bowles is married to

These are crypto colonizers attracted by later modifications to Act 22 law that Jenniffer González introduced as Puerto Rico house majority leader in 2011-2012 to include low taxes for crypto investor capital gains.

DNC member resigns after domestic violence charges
By Elana Schor
“Puerto Rico-based consultant Francisco Domenech resigned from his seat on the Democratic National Committee on Friday after his arrest earlier this week on domestic violence charges.

Domenech, who served as a co-chair of Hillary Clinton’s national finance council during the 2016 election, also managed Republican Jenniffer González-Colón’s winning campaign that year to become Puerto Rico’s resident commissioner and nonvoting congressional representative.”
Despite all this, wife-beater Francisco Domenech is still her current campaign director for her current run for governor in 2024. Domenech comes from a well-connected oligarchic Spanish-Puerto Rican family related to politician and engineer Manuel V. Domenech, through which Francisco is related to Douglas Domenech and Ben Domenech, Meghan McCain’s husband.

In Puerto Rico, thousands marked May Day by joining a general strike in the capital of San Juan to protest austerity measures, from the closing of public schools to increases in university tuition. When protesters tried to converge on the building where the federal oversight board has its offices, police fired tear gas and pepper spray. The board has called for the implementation of 10 percent pension cuts, eliminating mandatory Christmas bonuses, reducing required vacation and sick time, and allowing businesses to fire employees without having to first prove a just cause. This comes as at least 30,000 people still lack power almost eight months since Hurricane Maria devastated the island.
